Cards for a Cause support Kellin.
Your purchase of greeting cards during our Cards for a Cause fundraiser supports the free behavioral health services at Kellin Foundation.
We are so happy to share a special opportunity – Cards for a Cause campaign – to support free mental health and substance use services for those who otherwise would not have access to them.
When you purchase a box (or several boxes) of beautiful, quality-made greeting cards from our partners at PaperPie (formerly Usborne Books) from February 1 - March 15, 2023, a portion of the proceeds will be used to support free services to children, families, and adults.
Please spread the word to family members, friends, and acquaintances who may be interested. Be sure to order by March 15th – cards will be available for pick up in our offices in mid-March or can be mailed for an additional $12 per box.
Thank you in advance for your support as we work to provide therapeutic spaces and services for children, families, and adults across our community who otherwise would not have access to care.

Shea’s Chase 5K Run & Walk Destigmatizes Mental Health Challenges
Shea’s Chase, November 5, will help support the Kellin Foundation’s effort to provide free mental health services to the uninsured and underinsured.
The November 5 event will help support the Kellin Foundation’s effort to provide free mental health services to the uninsured and underinsured.
Shea’s Chase 5K Run and Walk will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 5, at the Stacks at Revolution Mill. The race aims to destigmatize mental health challenges and suicide, support survivors, and promote exercise as a tool for both physical and mental wellness.
Founded in 2015, Shea’s Chase honors the memory of Shea McKenna, who died by suicide on June 8, 2014. Funds raised will support the nonprofit Kellin Foundation in its mission to provide free behavioral health care to those who need it most.
To participate, register online at sheaschase.com. The fee is $30 per runner or $15 for college students, children, and military members. The entry fee includes a racer bib, custom T-shirt, and beer and beverages at the after party. Sign up with a team to be eligible to win the largest and fastest team awards, which will be distributed at 2 p.m.
Since its inception, Shea’s Chase has raised more than $300,000 for Mental Health Greensboro (MHG). This is the first year it will support the Kellin Foundation, which merged with MHG this year.
“We are honored the McKenna family is continuing this wonderful tradition. The funds raised at this year’s run will help provide free counseling, peer support and other to community members who are struggling,” said Kellin Foundation’s Executive Director Kelly Graves. “Together, we can prevent, treat, and heal.”
Shea’s Chase is sponsored by Cone Mills Charitable Fund, Kontoor, Renewal by Andersen, and Finn Dentistry.
Thank You for Supporting Journey to Brave
Our annual fundraiser raised more than $35,000 to help provide free services to the community.
The Kellin Foundation, its staff and board, would like to thank the greater Guilford County community for supporting the September 22, 2022 Journey to Brave, our annual fundraiser and community celebration at Center City Park.
Nearly 200 adults and children came out to enjoy the music of Gispy Danger, learn more about Kellin Foundation’s services, dance, and find fellowship with one another. With the help of emcee Tanya Rivera, we celebrated the joining of forces of the Kellin Foundation and the 80-year-old Mental Health Greensboro.
Now, we serve more than 13,000 people annually — thanks in large part to people like you! Through individual donors and sponsors, we raised more than $35,000 at Journey to Brave.
Our community needed you — and you came through.
A special thank you to Textile International Enterprises, Lake Jeanette Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry, WellSpring Group, Grinz Orthodontics North Carolina, The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, the Anderson Family Foundation, WDFC Radio 101.7 FM, Arrowhead Graphics, Inc., Triad Moms On Main, Bill's Pizza Pub, A Special Blend, Westerwood Tavern, and Crafted - the Art of the Taco for their generous contributions to this event.
