We are dedicated to mental health promotion as we work to prevent, treat, and heal across the community. We deliver evidence-based and nationally-recognized workshops led by certified instructors to individuals, families, businesses, churches, first responders, schools, community groups, and any other interested group. Provider Academy

  • Counselors, peer support specialists, mental health and substance use providers, and other direct service providers.

  • The Provider Academy is an action team of the Resilient Guilford Network (insert a link to that here) and provides workforce development trainings focused on mental health and substance use. QPR Suicide Prevention

  • Anyone in the community wanting to learn more about suicide prevention.

  • Designed to empower individuals to recognize and respond to signs of suicidal thoughts, QPR suicide prevention training equips participants with practical skills for intervention. Our dedicated instructors guide participants in asking the right questions, persuading individuals to seek help, and making effective referrals. QPR at the Kellin Foundation is a vital tool for fostering a community that actively contributes to suicide prevention, ensuring that everyone has the knowledge to make a positive impact and save lives.   • Any individual ages 3 and up.

  • CRM is an effective workshop that teaches about the neurobiology of stress and equips individuals of all ages with concrete skills that can help with emotion regulation, stress reduction, and healthy relationship building. Check our calendar upcoming CRM training workshops!

Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)

  • Adults ages 18 and up wanting to grow in their wellness and recovery.

  • The Kellin Foundation champions well-being through the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). WRAP is a personalized approach to mental health, empowering individuals to proactively manage their wellness journey. Through self-designed strategies and support networks, WRAP fosters resilience and recovery by enhancing mental health, providing individuals with the tools they need to navigate challenges and build a foundation for lasting well-being.

Mental Health First Aid (Adult/Youth)

  • Anyone in the community wanting to learn Mental Health First Aid.

  • Mental Health First Aid® is a course that teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training provides skills to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.Check our calendar for upcoming MHFA trainings.

  • Men ages 18 and up interested in being part of a supportive group to discuss issues important to them.

  • MEND, Men Empowering, Nurturing, Developing, is community where men gather to engage in open dialogue, sharing life experiences on vital topics such as Fatherhood, Mental Health, Substance Use, Healthcare, and Navigating Community Systems. Through mutual support and personal growth, MEND empowers its members to make a positive impact on the world. Darkness to Light Child Abuse Prevention

  • Anyone in the community that works with or cares for children.

  • Darkness to Light equips individuals with the knowledge and tools to recognize and respond to signs of child sexual abuse. Our evidence-based training empowers communities to create a protective environment for children. By fostering awareness and providing practical skills, Darkness to Light stands as a beacon against child sexual abuse, ensuring that everyone has the ability to protect the well-being of children.

Crisis Response and Intervention Training (CRIT)

  • First responders.

  • The Crisis Response and Intervention Training (CRIT) is a 40-hour training program designed to prepare police officers in their response to people experiencing crises related to behavioral health conditions (including mental health conditions and substance use disorders) and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

School Resource Officer Training

  • School resource officers.

  • We offer a 3-day evidence-based interactive training for School Resource Officers since they frequently interact with students struggling with mental health challenges. The training focuses on trauma-informed approaches to addressing student mental health, safety, and wellness.
