The Resilient Guilford Network is an action oriented, trauma resiliency network of systems and collaborative leaders who work together to build and support safe, secure, and nurturing communities. We are committed to using a trauma responsive and racial equity framework to prevent and heal trauma while strengthening individual, organizational, and community resilience across Guilford County. These gatherings offer space to learn, connect, and consider actionable ways we can improve safety, wellness, and belonging for all.
THIS MONTH’S MEETING: Join the Resilient Guilford Network for a special 90-minute training in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
This month's meeting features a strangulation awareness training led by Sonya Desai of the Guilford County Family Justice Center and a Greensboro Police Department officer. Participants will learn to recognize the signs and risks associated with strangulation, understand why it is a significant indicator of escalating violence, and explore best practices for identifying, documenting, and responding to these cases.
Because of the interactive nature of this training, this meeting will be held in person only. No virtual option will be available.
We hope to see you and please share broadly to those who may be interested in attending. Please email us if you would like to receive reminders about these meeting.
