Provider Academy is a workforce development initiative within the Resilient Guilford Network that offers free educational sessions for behavioral health providers seeking to enhance their competencies in mental health, substance use, and community support. Each workshop is facilitated by experienced professionals and delivers practical, evidence-informed tools grounded in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and collaborative practice. All sessions provide continuing education credits to promote ongoing professional growth in the field.
Dignity and Safety in Aging: Addressing Elder Abuse Together focuses on recognizing, preventing, and responding to elder mistreatment in all its forms. As older adults face changing health, mobility, and support needs, they can become vulnerable to neglect, financial exploitation, emotional harm, and physical abuse. This session examines the warning signs providers should look for, the barriers older adults may experience in seeking help, and the importance of coordinated community response. Participants will learn approaches that center respect, autonomy, and safety while strengthening collaborative efforts to protect the well being of aging adults in our community.
